This is what occurs in the first scene of season five of "Stranger Things."

A teaser from the script for the Netflix series has been revealed by the creators.

The writers of Stranger Things have released the first scene from season five.

The Stranger Things writer's room account on X shared an explanation of the opening establishing shot from the script in September, shortly after revealing that production had started on the script for the fifth and final season.

DAWNING. The screenplay says, "The sound of COLD WIND." "Wailing trees. Also, The voice of a child. singing a well-known tune.

It's unclear if the "familiar song" is just a well-known song or if it was played in an earlier episode of the show. For example, "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush and "Master Of Puppets" by Metallica were included in the fourth season.

Although the fifth season is currently being written, it is unknown when filming will start because of the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

On Tuesday, November 7, the actors' union responded to what was referred to as the "last, best, and final" offer from AMPTP, which represents companies like Disney and Netflix, by stating that it disagreed on "several essential items." Therefore, discussions might carry on until the end of 2023.

Producer Shawn Levy of Stranger Things hinted to the film ambitions of the upcoming season in September.

Levy told Total Film, "There's no way to be contiguous with season four and not, frankly, expand scale and depth." "A TV series is essentially a cinematic storytelling project of significant magnitude." The fifth installment of Stranger Things is just as massive as any recent blockbuster.

Co-creator Matt Duffer revealed to NME that the last season will go at a different speed than the others.

According to Matt, "everything wrapped up in a nice bow in the previous seasons." "There is a true [connection] between four and five. There won't be a wind-down period [with five]; in fact, this season, you get to see the kids and their high school experiences before things go out of control. That's usually the trajectory: it becomes crazier and crazier and crazier. Five, it will feel very, very different because you will be right in the center of it.
