Recently, the two collaborated on "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare."
Henry Cavill "always" gets to his feet when a woman walks into the room, according to director Guy Ritchie.
Ritchie described what made the guys in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare "un-gentlemanly" in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. She then said that Cavill was the exact reverse of this, standing up anytime a woman walks into the room.
Henry Cavill gets up if a woman enters the room, according to Ritchie. He has consistently maintained that throughout. With him, I've produced two films. You always get up when a woman enters the room.
"There you go!" Cavill retorted, then shifted the conversation to one of his castmates.
The action-comedy, which is helmed by Guy Ritchie, is based on the actual account of how British Prime Minister Winston Churchill established the first-ever special forces organization during World War II, which ultimately altered the trajectory of the conflict.
According to a summary, the top-secret combat force, made up of a motley gang of outlaws and mavericks, embarks on a risky mission against the Nazis by employing wholeheartedly 'ungentlemanly' and completely unusual fighting techniques.
"In the end, their bold strategy altered the direction of the conflict and established the groundwork for both contemporary Black Ops warfare and the British SAS."
In addition to Eiza González, Alan Ritchson, Alex Pettyfer, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, Babs Olusamokun, Henrique Zaga, Til Schweiger, Henry Golding, and Cary Elwes, Cavill leads the cast as Gus March-Phillips.
Ritchie co-wrote the screenplay with Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, and Arash Amel in addition to directing. Alongside John Friedberg, Ivan Atkinson, Chad Oman, and Jerry Bruckheimer, he also produces.
This is Cavill and Ritchie's second joint project after The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015). He and the filmmaker will also work together again on an as-yet-untitled third action movie.
In addition, it is Ritchie's third movie in the last 12 months, having previously acted in Jake Gyllenhaal's The Covenant and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. In March of this year, the director also debuted a TV spin-off of The Gentleman on Netflix.
The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare is released in cinemas on April 19, 2024.
