Ibrahim Mahama, the minister of sports, wants Ghana to adopt the layout of Boston Stadium.

Kofi Adams, Ghana's Minister of Sports and Recreation, has disclosed that he and Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), have been assigned by industrialist Ibrahim Mahama to acquire the Boston Stadium design in order to facilitate the development of a comparable facility in Ghana.

Speaking about the project, the Minister stated that the goal is to obtain the architectural plan and pertinent technical information so that construction on a contemporary sports stadium that satisfies international standards can start.

"Ibrahim Mahama has tasked Kurt Okraku and me with securing the Boston Stadium design so work can begin in Ghana," Kofi Adams stated.

The Minister claims that the proposed project is a reflection of continuous efforts to upgrade Ghana's sports infrastructure and offer top-notch facilities to football players and supporters.

The announcement has excited sports fans who have long advocated for the creation of contemporary sporting venues across the nation, even if more information about the project's location, funding, timetable, and building plan has not yet been made public.

One example of how public-private partnerships could support the development of sports infrastructure in Ghana is the cooperation between the Sports Ministry, the Ghana Football Association, and private sector stakeholders.

If carried out, the project might strengthen the nation's capacity to host international athletic events, upgrade athlete training facilities, and open up new avenues for sports growth and tourism.

After talks on the proposed stadium design and implementation plans are concluded, the government is likely to provide more details.
