Oleksandr Usyk Declares He Will Give Up All World Heavyweight Championships.

Oleksandr Usyk, the undisputed heavyweight champion, has declared that he will formally relinquish all of his heavyweight world championship titles, ending his tenure as the division's unified champion.

Usyk stated that it was time to make the championships accessible to the upcoming generation of competitors in a social media post.

"Today is Friday, the weather is beautiful and it's a good day to say I want to vacate all the belts I currently hold."

The top-ranked heavyweight contenders will be able to compete for the open world belts, according to the Ukrainian boxing star's explanation of his choice.

"I want to make them available so the ones who come after me can compete for them. I still have my last dance, so even though I'm leaving the belts, I'm staying in the sport."

Syk also thanked the various boxing organizations who approved his term as champion.

"I want to express my gratitude to everyone. There is yet more to come. I have a lot of respect for every organization."

In the heavyweight class, the announcement is a momentous occasion. By giving up his belts, a number of boxing's top competitors may soon get the chance to fight for the coveted world titles, which might change the sport's environment.

Usyk made it apparent that he is not retiring despite giving up the titles. Rather, he stated that before ending his remarkable professional career, he plans to participate at least once more.

Considered by many to be among the best boxers of his time, Usyk has had incredible success in the heavyweight and cruiserweight classes. He is regarded as one of boxing's modern greats due to his technical proficiency, unblemished mindset, and triumphs over some of the biggest names in the sport.

Fans of boxing will now be keeping a careful eye on who challenges for the open world belts and who Usyk selects for what he has called his "last dance."
