According to speculations from Spanish news outlet Relevo, Black Stars defensive midfielder Baba Iddrisu from La Liga club Mallorca is close to joining Major League Soccer (MLS) team New England Revolution.
According to Relevo, talks between Almeria, where Baba Iddrisu is now on loan from Mallorca, and New England Revolution are going well.
While details are still being worked out, New England is keen to get the agreement done.
Iddrisu has advanced significantly in Spanish football since joining RCD Mallorca's development setup in January 2014. He made many appearances for Mallorca's main squad before going on loan with a buyback clause to Almeria in August 2023.
The 28-year-old has made 24 appearances in the current La Liga season, displaying his consistency and dependability as a defensive midfielder despite obstacles at Almeria.
Baba Iddrisu, a Ghanaian midfielder, has played 150 games for Mallorca's first squad. His prospective transfer to the New England Revolution would be a great chance for him to continue develop as a player.
